What do I need to provide for a tutoring lesson?

What do I need to provide for a lesson?

When I initially started to answer this question, I was going
to write for a lesson you will need to use the same equipment for what you
would use for the equivalent lesson at school.

Then I thought about how my own children would have
interpreted that.

Jamie, my lad got through most of secondary school with just
a pen in his top pocket. If he dived deep enough, I’m sure he would have found
a calculator buried at the bottom of his bag somewhere.

My oldest daughter, Clara, would have used this as an excuse
to want to go out and buy pens, pencils, highlighters of every colour of the
rainbow with corresponding pens to write with. Every piece of stationary
possible would have been necessary…

So, I decided to be more precise:

If you are having an online lesson with us, please can I ask
you to provide a pen and paper for any working out, then in addition a
calculator if applicable.

If it is a lesson in your home, we will provide everything
you will need (apart from a calculator).

The first time we come we will bring with us a starter pack
for you to use.

In it you will receive a notepad and pencil case.

Inside the pencil case you will find a pen, pencil, ruler,
rubber, and a highlighter.

If you are
doing maths, you will receive a maths set as well.
