How it all started...
I know what it’s like to feel stuck.
As a teacher and single mom, I struggled to make ends meet, living paycheck to paycheck and constantly worrying about how to provide for my family. I wanted more—a career that offered both financial stability and the flexibility to create a better life.
I remember the exact moment when I realized there had to be another way.
As a Teacher, the Path to Growth Felt Nonexistent.
I'll never forget the exhaustion that weighed on me—long hours on my feet, barely a moment to sit, let alone take a proper break.
Rushing from one lesson to the next, grading papers late into the night, and running on nothing but caffeine and sheer willpower, I felt like I was constantly running on empty.
Limited bathroom breaks, endless paperwork, and the expectation to give 110% every single day—it all added up to burnout I could no longer ignore.
I loved teaching, but the physical and mental toll was relentless. I knew something had to change. If this was the only path to stability, I needed a new one—fast.
The Moment It Clicked, Everything Changed.
Just when I was ready to walk away from education altogether, I discovered something that changed everything — instructional design.
I found a whole new way to make an impact. Instructional design allowed me to use my passion for education in a fresh, exciting way — one that still gave me the warm and fuzzies while also offering better pay, creative fulfillment, and the flexibility I had always dreamed of.
Suddenly, everything clicked, and I was overjoyed.
This was the path I had been searching for—a career that let me continue making a difference without the burnout or financial stress . I dove in, learned everything I could, and took action. Before I knew it, I had built a thriving career in instructional design.
