Welcome to my blog!
Welcome to my blog!
With the onset of Autumn, the season of new beginnings is upon us.
As children and young adults prepare to embark on their educational journeys, whether it's stepping into school for the first time, transitioning to a new grade level, or venturing off to university, a wave of emotions accompanies these pivotal moments.
Parents, too, experience a mix of emotions as they witness their children reach significant milestones.
Essential oils can be invaluable tools during this transitional period.
For parents, witnessing your child's educational journey unfold can be both heartwarming and nerve-wracking.
The separation anxiety that comes with sending your little one off to school or the uncertainty of how your teenager will adjust to university life can be emotionally challenging.
For students, whether they're taking their first steps into a classroom or entering a new phase of their educational journey, essential oils can provide a boost in focus, concentration, and emotional well-being. These aromatic allies can help mitigate nervousness, encourage a positive mindset, and enhance cognitive performance, ensuring a smoother transition into their new academic environment.
As young adults venture into the world of university, embracing newfound independence can be both thrilling and overwhelming. Essential oils can play a pivotal role in managing stress, enhancing concentration during study sessions, and creating a comforting environment in unfamiliar surroundings. The blend of scents and therapeutic effects can aid in grounding emotions, supporting mental clarity, and promoting overall well-being during this transformative time.
Here's my top oils for helping to cope with all of these situations..........
For little ones starting or changing school:
Mandarin & Lavender Essential Oils
How to use
2 drops of each oil in a diffuser - diffuse for 30 minutes before bedtime
or
1 drop of each oil on a tissue to take to school & inhale throughout the day
These are 2 of the very few oils that are suitable from newborn onwards.
Mandarin is a beautiful, soft, uplifting oil. It calms the nerves and aids restful sleep.
Lavender is probably one of the best known essential oils and is fantastic for relieving anxiety. It's particularly useful for shy, sensitive children and helps them to relax and make the most of new situations.
For anxious parents:
Rose Otto Essential Oil
How to use
Just carry a bottle in your handbag or keep it handy at home and when you feel you need a boost just open it up and take a couple of sniffs 🙂
Rose Otto is is such a comforting oil. It counteracts feelings of sadness and emptiness. It helps to promote feelings of acceptance, happiness and contentment.
For teenagers & young adults:
Bergamot Essential Oil
How to use
3 drops on a tissue - inhale whenever needed throughout the day
This is one of my favourites!! This oil has a beautiful, complex aroma and smells amazing just on it's own. It has wonderful relaxing & anxiety relieving properties.
It also has antiviral properties and strengthens the immune system so is great at helping to protect against all those bugs and viruses that could be encountered in a new environment.
