Navigating an episode of acute back pain can be scary and confusing. Understanding what you should or should not do can be confusing. With so much information available it can be challenging to know what information is credible.
Why should you listen to me you might wonder. Here is why!
My undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy as well as a postgraduate masters degree is Sports & Exercise Medicine make me a subject expert on low back pain. However, more than that, it is my 30+ years of treating 1000s of people with back pain that makes my knowledge base so rich.
I have developed a comprehensive system for end-to-end back pain management from initial first aid care all the way through to effective long term self-management. This system, named ARTS, is explained in more detail in the tool-kit. I will give you many simple and easy-to-implement solutions to tackle your back pain and put in command of your recovery.
My mission is to share my knowledge as widely as possible and to debunk the many unhelpful myths about back pain. I love getting people back on track after a bout of back pain. It's a joy to do.
