My Journey: From Overwhelm & Exhaustion to Inner Calm and Vitality
My first experience with birth and becoming a mother
In 2006, I moved from Germany to Puerto Escondido, Mexico, after falling in love with my now-husband. A year later, we welcomed our first child. I chose to give birth in a remote mountain hut in Oaxaca, guided by prayer and my intuition, supported by an exceptional midwife.
The birth was long and physically demanding, yet deeply empowering. I felt truly heard, respected, and capable. But soon after, my confidence was challenged. I followed rigid schedules for feeding and sleep, influenced by friends and societal expectations, and ignored my instincts.
I learned a critical lesson: trusting your intuition is essential—not just for birth, but for the entire journey of motherhood. This realization sparked my path as a Doula.

From struggle in early motherhood to deep healing
Motherhood, for me, was beautiful—but it was also exhausting, overwhelming, and full of challenges. I faced physical exhaustion, health issues, and marital tensions. My inner struggles and unresolved past wounds surfaced as anger, guilt, and frustration, making it hard to connect with my children and myself.
By the time I was postpartum with my third child, I reached a breaking point. Even small tasks felt impossible, and my energy and joy had drained away. I realized my struggles were not just daily stress—they were rooted in deeper, unresolved emotional wounds and patterns from my past.
Through deep inner healing, learning to regulate my nervous system, and addressing my core wounds, I began to reclaim my inner calm, compassion, and energy. This transformation allowed me to parent with more patience, softness, and joy, and reconnect deeply with myself, my children, and my partner.

Empowering Mothers Today: My Unique Approach

I developed my approach from the lessons of my own life—the dark, heavy, and messy times that showed me what mothers really need to feel alive, grounded, and capable of thriving.
Since 2017, I’ve walked alongside over 200 women as a Full Spectrum Doula, holding space for them through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. In 2022, I became an advanced EFT Tapping Coach, giving me the tools to help mothers gently release the emotional blocks and old wounds that keep them stuck, and to finally start feeling steady, connected, and free in their lives and motherhood—even when their past has been anything but easy.

Have you ever asked friends about post-baby sex life, only to be met with responses like "Sex? What's that?"
As a mom of four, I understand the joys, the exhaustion, and everything in between. I have found myself in the place of feeling drained and disconnected from my sensuality and sexuality.
But a fundamental truth exists: Our Sexuality is connecting us to our vitality and is the glue of relationships. It's a gift that we are meant to enjoy and take care of and which definitely isn't meant to be another point on our to-do list. Staying connected in love is the greatest gift we can give our children, providing them with deep security and happiness.
One of the big obstacles for keeping the flame burning is the high stress levels we are under, caused by our own and societal expectations for perfection, leading to exhaustion. Biologically, our bodies aren't wired for sex during highly stressful times. When cortisol runs high, our sex hormones take a backseat, making it difficult to feel connected to our sensuality.

The key lies in regulating our nervous system, transitioning from a state of stress to one of relaxation and safety. By grounding ourselves, shedding our masks, and honestly expressing our desires and struggles, we create space for connection and intimacy.
