The dreams you had for your pregnancy, birth, and parenting journey may feel scattered and distant, and I’m here to support you through it and help you regain your sense of inner peace, freedom, connection and joy.

If you’re feeling like you’re failing despite your bets efforts, as if something precious has been taken from you, and despite knowing it doesn’t always make rational sense, you find yourself blaming yourself for it—draining all your peace and leaving you overwhelmed and disconnected from both yourself and your child, I undertand how hopeless this feels and as if theres no solution to the emotional pit your in. You deeply want to create a loving, nurturing environment for your child, but the weight of (past)pain and unmet expectations feels unbearable.

If you’re experiencing any of the following challenges, I deeply understand the depth of your pain:

  • Depression and Anxiety During Pregnancy: If you’re struggling with depression or anxiety during pregnancy, the sense of being  depressed and disconnected from your baby can be incredibly isolating. You might feel like you’re failing to enjoy what should be a joyful time. The weight of these feelings can make you feel trapped in a cycle of fear and sadness, especially because you deeply desire to create a positive environment for your unborn child. You’re aware that your emotional state now is shaping your child’s unconscious core beliefs about themselves and life, adding an additional layer of pressure.

  • Postpartum Depression: If you’re dealing with postpartum depression, you might find yourself feeling intense frustration or anger, even directing it at your baby’s cries, wishing they would just be quiet. The guilt and shame that follow can be crushing, especially when these feelings are at odds with the loving mother you aspire to be.

  • Traumatic Birth: If you’re reeling from a traumatic birth experience, the emotional fallout can leave you feeling lost and unsupported. Reconciling your traumatic experience with the peaceful postpartum period you hoped for can be deeply challenging, causing a disconnect between you and your baby.

  • Constant Hustling and Anxiety: If you’re stuck in a state of constant hustle and anxiety, feeling like you’re always on the go and never able to catch your breath, it can be exhausting and disheartening. This ongoing stress makes it difficult to be really present. It feels difficult to connect deeply with your baby (or child) or even yourself, leaving you feeling drained and disconnected. You wonder how this cycle of constant stress and your frenetic energy because of your pessure to be perfect in all areas of life will impact your child’s sense of calm and their internal sense of stability.

  • People-Pleasing and Losing Yourself: If you’re caught in a cycle of people-pleasing, constantly trying to meet others’ expectations while neglecting your own needs, you might feel like you’ve lost yourself in the process. This can lead to feelings of being stuck in a state of fawn and freeze, where you’re overwhelmed and unable to assert your own needs and desires. You worry that this will affect your child’s understanding of boundaries and self-worth, as they absorb the messages you inadvertently convey through your actions and responses.

  • Overwhelming Guilt and Frustration in Motherhood: If you repeatedly lose your temper with your child, whether by yelling or expressing frustration, and despite your best intentions, you’re stuck in a cycle of regret and guilt. Lying awake at night, you promise yourself you’ll do better, only to face the same triggers and reactions the next day. The frustration of not meeting your own standards can be disheartening. You ahve the nagging fear that your emotional outbursts and the accompanying guilt can affect your child’s emotional development and self-perception.

What makes these challenges even harder is the additional burden of guilt, shame, and the fear of being judged. The fear of being labeled as a bad mother or being misunderstood can make it feel even lonelier and more difficult to share your struggles.

The weight of these feelings is amplified by the knowledge that your emotional state impacts your child’s developing beliefs about themselves and their world. The ways in which you hustle, react in anger, or fall into people-pleasing behaviors can shape your child’s deepest beliefs and sense of self. I understand that this awareness only adds to your burden, making it even more challenging to navigate these difficult times.
