As we reach the end of the year I am in reflective mood and am so delighted with how The Enable Movement has flourished in 2024. This time last year I was happily conducting my physio business visiting clients in their homes. The shop at 1a The Square was being vacated and little did I think that I would be its next occupant.
I first visited it on 2nd January and took possession of the keys in early February. I fell in love with the bones of this building the moment I entered it and I am so thrilled to call this cosy space mine.Thank you to each and every one of you who has engaged with me and my services. It has been my pleasure to work with you. The Haven has been the scene of much warmth and laughter and a lot of healing and recovery I hope. We have had walks, drinks gatherings and a retreat day at my home giving lots of opportunities to move, connect and enjoy each others company.
I will take a couple of weeks off from next weekend, recharge my batteries and see you again in early January ready to help you banish your aches and pains.
Appointment type and fee changesI have taken the decision to stop offering home visit appointments routinely to allow me to increase my capacity at The Haven and I have also simplified the streamlined appointment types. New
assessments
will be 45 minutes and follow up treatments will be either 40 minutes or 30 minutes depending on clinical need. We can decide this together.
Fees from 2nd January 2025My physiotherapy equipment and supplies costs (taping, supports, rehab equipment and acupuncture needles) have all seen a sharp increase over the course of the year as has building and contents insurance and energy costs. Thus, a fee increase is necessary from the New Year.

Medical insurance appointment information
Also effective from January regarding any new clients who have medical insurance schemes, I will no longer be able to invoice insurance companies on their behalf. My treatments will be invoiced to the client directly and once payment is made to me, a receipt will be issued. This can be used by the client (in most cases) to seek reimbursement from the health insurance company directly. The administration time and costs incurred have become prohibitively expensive. I am sorry to be unable to continue to provide this offering.
